I was born and live in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. During
my school years I attended the school of fine art for children,
and then graduated from the faculty of architecture of Kiev State
University of Construction and Architecture. However my
engagement in architecture was not long - I was captivated by
graphic design and then for several years worked in advertising
and promotion. My first doll was made in 2007. In 2008 for the
first time I participated in the International Doll Fair in
Moscow.
Doll-making would hardly become my main occupation if I would not receive a strong support and approval of my best friend and dearly loved husband Oleg Kolomiyets. In spite of being extremely busy, Oleg gladly assists me in my work: he presents my dolls at exhibitions, takes care of marketing, develops and supports contacts with galleries and doll collectors, as well as helps me with some doll accessories. (By the way: chair, bench, wooden horse and many other things were made by him!)
I consider art dolls as a unique synthetic genre of fine arts where any creative person has unlimited possibilities to express and implement his or her ideas, fantasies and dreams. And come back to the childhood. For a while ...
